Getting Started

The hardest part of any journey is taking that first step. It is no different in seeking counseling.

The good news, however, is that you have already taken an important first step by visiting this website. Hopefully, if you have spent some time on this site, you have a pretty good sense of my background and training, my approach to counseling, the types of services I offer, and my overall philosophy of care.

The next step, of course, is to take action to schedule an appointment. Again, to make this as simple and painless as possible, you have a couple of choices:

  • You can call me directly and we can talk a bit about your situation, see if I might be a good fit for you, and either schedule an appointment or, if it seems more appropriate, we will refer you to another provider who might better meet your needs.
  • You can click on the Contact link and I will contact you.

If you decide to schedule an appointment, I encourage you to print out the Intake Form, fill in the requested information, and bring the completed form with you to your first appointment. This will allow us to make the maximum use of our time together.
